TODAY IS DAY 5
* Today is an Early Release Day. Periods will run 1, 2, 3 & 4.
* It’s BOOK FAIR time! The book fair will be held in the library tomorrow and Friday, so be sure to bring your money! 6th and 7th grade classes will be coming to the library with their teachers, and 8th graders that wish to purchase their summer reading books can go to the library individually.
The library will be closed before and after school Thursday and Friday for the book fair, and the library will also be closed Thursday until Period 5.
* If you had art work in the Wellesley Library Art show please pick up your art work from your art teacher this week.
* STARS is inviting grade 8 students to attend the final pizza lunch on stereotypes and race on Thursday, June 8th in Cafe “234.”
* Did you know that 1 cell phone, thrown away, can pollute 40,000 gallons of groundwater? The WMS PTO and the Green Team are partnering together to collect old electronic devices and accessories. If you have any old cell phones, chargers, phone cases or iPods that have been
stuck in a drawer at home, turn them into the Main Office all this week. Not only will you be protecting the environment, but also helping to raise funds for WMS programs.
* WMS Chorus 8th grade concert is tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. in the WMS Auditorium. It’s your final chance to catch this incredibly talented musical group of middle school students!
* WMS Yearbooks are still on sale for $40 – please order online.
* This Friday, June 9th, the year-end dances will take place at WMS from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. 8th graders should have received their tickets for admission in their homerooms. You will need to remember to bring your ticket Friday night to get admitted. 8th grade dance will be in the cafeteria. Plan on entering through the Kingsbury St. door. 6th & 7th grade dance will be in Gym A. Admission is $5 paid at the Donizetti St. entrance door. No guests will be allowed.
* Attention 7th and 8th grades: Please make sure that you have returned your signed consent form for the upcoming field trips to Spectacle Island and Boston cash hunt. We must have these back prior to you attending these events. If you need a copy, we have extras in the main office.
* No Intramurals today. Tomorrow is the last day for Intramurals.
