Purpose of the Student Support Team:

To identify students who are not on preexisting Individual Education Plans and are in need of additional academic and/or social and emotional support.

How often do we meet?

Each house in the high school holds a meeting once each cycle (one time every seven days).

Who attends these meetings?

House Assistant Principal, Counselors, School Psychologists, Nurse, Director of School Counseling, SPED Director, Teacher Representatives.

How are students referred?

There are many possible ways a student may be referred to the Student Support Team. The most common include:

  • Teacher concern regarding either academic, social/emotional or attendance.
  • Guidance concern regarding either academic, social/emotional or attendance.
  • Poor academic performance or poor attendance.
  • Parent request
  • Assistant Principal referral as a result of a disciplinary issue.
