Colleagues,

I hope you each had a great week.  We’ve been fortunate to have fairly cool weather this spring so far, but we certainly felt the heat on Wednesday and Thursday.  I know conditions can become challenging in our schools on warm days without air conditioning and I appreciate everyone’s resilience as we navigate these days in the spring and fall.  Please know that the Administration and School Committee are working with Town Leaders on this topic and exploring possibilities for accelerating this needed project.

On Tuesday of this week, we were delighted to host Governor Healey at Wellesley High School for her announcement of new state funding to establish programs like our WHS Bridge Program.  Bridge supports students who are returning to school from a hospital and/or treatment center due to emotional or medical reasons.  A big shout-out to Adam Diliberto and Lindsey Yamaguchi for their leadership to maintain this critical program at WHS.  The Governor’s visit was a well-deserved spotlight on their work!

Finally, as we enter the Memorial Day Weekend, please keep the men and women who lost their lives in service of our country in your thoughts and prayers.

Have a great long weekend everyone and thank you for your service to our students!

Best, David
