Dear Colleagues,

As we prepare to head out for the holiday, please accept my best wishes for a happy and restful Thanksgiving.  I remain profoundly grateful to work with such an incredible team of educators who remain committed to our students and the Core Values of our District.  If you have any extra time today, please come out and cheer for our WHS girls at the annual Powderpuff Game vs. Needham at 1:30 pm at the Wellesley High School field.  Tomorrow, our boys varsity team will take on Needham for the 131st time in the annual Thanksgiving Game, starting at 10AM at the Needham High School Field.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Best regards,
David Lussier

Professional School Administrator/Leadership Licensure Program for Superintendents/Assistant Superintendents

“The Professional School Administrator Program (PSAP/LLPS) provides an opportunity for full-time administrators to obtain a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, and their Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent MA DESE licensure. The three-year program was developed by Boston College more than three decades ago to provide an opportunity for full-time school administrators to pursue doctoral study. The Lynch School of Education at Boston College partners with the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS) and Teachers21 to prepare future superintendents and school leaders for public, Catholic, charter, and independent schools. Through a cohort model that emphasizes collaborative learning and support, PSAP/LLPS aims to create a powerful network of district-level leaders throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and beyond”.

~ OPEN HOUSE ~

Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at

Boston College, Campion Hall, Rm 139, from 5 – 7 pm.

WHS Seminar Day Wants You!!!

Faculty,

The holiday season is upon us, and on behalf of Student Congress at Wellesley High School, we would like to offer you an opportunity to avoid all those divisive conversations about politics around the dinner table. Instead, might we recommend you invite your loved ones to participate in this year’s Seminar Day!

If you’re a new teacher or need a refresher on what Seminar Day is, please scroll to the bottom of this post and read the short description. If you already know the gist, please consider presenting a passion of yours or reaching out to those who may have something valuable, interesting, and/or exciting for our students to hear about. We have included the sign-up form below for you. If you would like us to personally reach out to someone (family, friend, or acquaintance) who may have a topic to present to our students, please pass along any information to us. You can also feel free to send the link along to them as well. Speakers can speak for one block, two blocks, or all three!

Block A: 8:05-9:05am

Block B: 9:10-10:10am

Block C: 10:15-11:15am

WPS Internal Job Postings on District Website
Please be aware that we added a new feature called “Internal Job Postings” under the Faculty tab of the District’s website.  We will post all of our internal jobs under this website tab. Therefore, you will no longer see internal job postings in the bulletin. This new way of posting will allow us to post internal positions any day of the week.
