Dear Colleagues,
I hope you each had a productive week. I know it was a busy one and I want to give a shout out the staff of Fiske, Hardy, and Hunnewell for hosting their back-to-school nights this week.
I also I want to honor three of our colleagues who are retiring at the end of September, after long tenures in WPS.
Donna Kalinowski (Payroll)
After twenty-seven (27) years with the Town of Wellesley and WPS, Donna is retiring. Her depth of knowledge in payroll, MTRS, town retirement systems, and investment processes has consistently exceeded expectations and set a high standard among school payroll administrators. Her expertise in contract history has been an invaluable resource to both the administration and the WEA. Donna has guided countless employees through the retirement process with care and precision, often combing through decades-old payroll records to ensure every eligible earning was accounted for. Her dedication, accuracy, and commitment to supporting staff will leave a lasting legacy. We thank Donna for her extraordinary service and wish her a joyful and well-earned retirement.
Deane McGoldrick (Transportation Director)
After twenty-three (23) years with the Town of Wellesley and WPS, Deane is retiring. He has been a valued and respected leader, known for building and maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient transportation department. Whether clearing snow off vans after a storm or helping a student with homework while behind the wheel, Deane has always gone above and beyond in service to our students and staff. His expertise is recognized not only within WPS but also across the state, where his insights are sought and valued by members of the Massachusetts Association of Pupil Transportation (MAPT).
