Superintendent’s Bulletin

January 8, 2016

Dear Colleagues,Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a restful vacation and that your first week back was productive.  This is an important month in our budget process as we continue to work with the School Committee to analyze our proposals for next year and move toward approving a budget for Town Meeting.  Thanks again to all of our staff who contributed to the development of our recommended FY17 Budget.Another key topic for WPS this month will be the facilities recommendation for Hardy, Hunnewell, and Upham (HHU).  The Parent Advisory Group created by our School Committee has been reviewing this proposal and will provide a recommendation to the School Committee at its January 21st meeting.  All of the HHU materials are posted on the Town’s website:  http://wellesleyma.gov/Pages/WellesleyMA_HHU/indexAs you head into the weekend, I encourage you take a few minutes to complete the Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF) survey I forwarded earlier today.   The feedback you provide will be invaluable in supporting the development of WEF’s strategic plan.  Thanks for all that you do for our students and have a great weekend!  Best regards,DavidCalendar
