For the 2025-26 School Year, WPS has transitioned our mass communication platform for emails, calls, and text messages from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare. The ParentSquare unified communications platform has many advantages, including:
- The ability to send longer newsletters directly in the body of the email message.
- Convenient classroom messaging between teachers and families.
- Automatic translation into all the languages needed by our families.
What Families Need to Know about the Transition:
- If you have multiple phones and emails in PowerSchool, only 1 phone number and 1 email address for each parent/guardian/caregiver will sync to ParentSquare by default. If for some reason you are not receiving emails to your preferred address, please check your contact information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal and delete any outdated phone numbers or emails. If this does not resolve this issue, contact portal@wellesleyps.org for assistance.
- Any email blasts you receive from WPS will come from @parentsquare.com.
- You should have received an email invitation from WPS to join ParentSquare in late August, but if you missed it, we will be sending a follow-up invitation in October, or you can just click here to Register for ParentSquare at any time.
- With registration, you can easily keep track of messages by school and teacher using the app or your desktop. You can also adjust your preferences, such as whether you would like to receive text alerts, or whether to receive communications immediately or as part of a digest at the end of the day. You do not need to register for ParentSquare to receive messages via email or text messages.
