Preschool At Wellesley Schools (P.A.W.S.) enrollment is open to Wellesley residents only.
For preschool-age students who are not in need of special education services, P.A.W.S. offers rolling admission on a space available basis, with most students starting in the fall. An age 2.9 class is available for students who turn 2 years, 9 months between Sept. 1 – Dec. 31. Please fill out this prospective family enrollment form if you are interested in P.A.W.S. for your child and we will be in touch. Information sessions are held on Zoom on a monthly basis.
For preschool-age students in need of special education services, the referral process occurs throughout the year and must be initiated by a parent or guardian. If your child has reached their third birthday and you have educational concerns, contact the P.A.W.S. office at 781-446-6222. If your child currently receives early intervention and is 2 years, 6 months or older, contact early intervention to start the referral process.
Child Find: Under federal and state special education regulations, the Wellesley Public Schools has a responsibility to locate, identify, refer, evaluate, and if eligible, provide a free, appropriate, public education to students with disabilities who reside in the town of Wellesley. The P.A.W.S. Child Find contact is Kristen Stacy, Director of Early Childhood Education.
